IMPORTANT TOUR INFO AND FAQS

What time and where will we meet to get on the bus on Monday?

Chambersburg Church Building

50 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg

5:30 am sharp on Monday

What should I pack?

The packing list is found here. All items must fit in 1 medium suitcase/duffle, 1 bedding bag, and 1 backpack. Please check the weather forecast before packing and make adjustments to clothing and bedding as needed. Be sure to label your suitcase/duffle and bedding bag with your name.

Where are we staying overnight?

The first two nights we will be at Seneca Lake Camp, a church owned camp similar to Camp Liahona with cabins. The camp has many fun amenities including archery, kayaking, fishing, volleyball, gaga ball, swimming, zip lining, and more. 10-14 youth will be in each cabin with two leaders.

The final two nights we will be staying in a hotel near Kirtland. 4-6 youth will be in a room.

What is our general itinerary?

Monday: Priesthood Restoration Site, Seneca Lake Camp

Tuesday: Palmyra area church sites, Seneca Lake Camp

Wednesday: Niagara Falls, Presque Isle State Park, Kirtland Hotel

Thursday: Historic Kirtland Sites, Kirtland Hotel

Friday: Travel Home

How will the youth be organized?

The youth will be divided up into 6 families with around 15 youth and 2 adult leaders each. Each charter bus will hold three families. Families will be used when traveling on buses and when touring historic sites. During all free time and other activities youth will be free to be with whomever they choose.

How are roommates being decided?

The Stake Youth Leadership will be making cabin and hotel assignments. If you have concerns or anxiety about your roommates, please reach out to a Stake leader. We want all youth to be happy and comfortable.

Can I bring my phone?

Yes, youth may bring one electronic device each. If you choose to bring a phone or other device, it is at your own risk. Church leaders will not be held liable for any lost/damaged electronics. We also expect youth to use electronics appropriately and respectfully.

When and where are we returning?

We will return to the Chambersburg church building. Parents should arrive to pick up youth at 1:30 pm on Friday.

I will be 18+ on the trip, what must I do before I go?

All youth 18 or older are required to complete the church's youth protection training. It is a quick 30 minute course and can be found here. Please message Pres Hurley or Pres Fulton to let us know you have completed the course.
